Fast Tracks Releases A Complete Selection Of Precision Cut PC Board Ties Calgary, CANADA -- February, 2004 -- Fast Tracks has introduced a selection of precision cut printed circuit board ties for standard and narrow gauge track. Ideally suited for constructing all types of trackwork, Fast Tracks PC Board Ties are stamped rather than sheared, producing a perfectly flat tie with no twisting or warping. Copper cladded, fiberglass PC board "ties" are used at strategic points in hand built trackwork to permanently hold the rails in gauge during and after installation. They can be decorated using traditional techniques so that they are virtually indistinguishable from wooden ties. Standard gauge ties are 17 scale foot length, 9 scale inches wide, in 1/16" and 1/32" thickness in all popular scales. Narrow gauge ties are 13-1/2 scale foot length, 7 scale inches wide, and are available in HO scale 1/16" and 1/32" thickness and in S & O scale in 1/16" thickness. Custom cut ties are also available. The copper cladding is paper thin allowing the modeller to cut the copper with a small file or rotary tool to isolate the rails. Both sides of the tie are copper cladded. PC board ties are sold in bundles of 100 ties (enough to build approximately 10 turnouts) and range in pricing from $10.00 to $15.00 per bundle. (US$) Ties are usually shipped from stock within two business days and can be ordered directly from the manufacturer's website at www.handlaidtrack.com.
