Fast Tracks Releases Full Line Of Laser Cut Wood Ties For Turnouts & Crossings

Calgary, CANADA -- November 2004 -- Today Fast Tracks introduced its new line of “QuickSticks” Laser Cut Ties for turnouts and crossings.

Specially designed for trackwork built with Fast Tracks assembly fixtures, QuickSticks laser cut ties lets the model railroader construct fully complete, ready-to-run turnouts and crossings right at their workbench and offer an economical alternative to store bought trackwork.

Each QuickSticks laser cut tie lattice consists of a complete set of pre-cut and pre-spaced ties for a single left or right turnout and are available with or without pre-drilled spike holes. They are 100% compatible with all turnouts and crossings constructed with Fast Tracks assembly fixtures and are available for all popular scales and gauges.

QuickSticks are cut from unpainted, aircraft grade, Baltic Birch plywood with the wood grain running perpendicular to the rails and will match all popular commercially available wood ties. Narrow gauge versions of QuickSticks are designed to provide an authentic look for narrow gauge trackwork, while standard gauge laser cut ties use a traditional tie spacing pattern. Standard gauge ties are 7 scale inches thick and 9 scale inches wide. Narrow gauge ties are 5 scale inches thick and 7 scale inches wide.

QuickSticks laser cut ties can be glued to the rails using contact cement, or the modeler can spike the ties to their layout using optional pre-drilled spike holes.

Each QuickSticks lattice is priced from $2.99 to $12.50 (USD) depending on the scale and can be ordered directly from the manufacturer on their website at www.fast-tracks.net. Quantity discount pricing is also available.
