Step 1

Create a drawing of the switch that you require for your model railroad. The more detailed your drawing, the more quickly we can design and produce your Assembly Fixture. The drawing can be as simple as a hand drawn sketch, or a fully dimensioned CAD drawing.

No matter what kind of drawing you provide, try to be as accurate and as detailed possible. At a minimum you need to provide a dimensioned drawing of the track center line.

Step 2

Send your completed drawing to us using one of the following methods:

Our email inbox can accept very large files, so don't be afraid to email us your scanned or CAD generated drawing.

We can accept the following electronic files:

• DWG or DXF (Preferred)
• PDF
• Virtually any type of graphic file (JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, PSD)

Postal Mail

If you don't have scanners and or CAD software, then you can mail your drawing to us. Because of the slower turn-around time with mail, it is very important that your drawing be as complete as possible. Or mailing address is:

No matter how you send us your drawing, please be sure that you include the following information:

• Your Name
• Your Complete Shipping Address
• Your Telephone number
• Your Email Address (This is a must!)

We will review your drawing and prepare a detailed quote for a custom built Assembly Fixture and related QuickSticks. If we have any questions about your requirements we will send them to you by email. The quote will be emailed to you and will include:

• A description of the assembly
• How long we think it will take to build
• The total cost to build the fixture
• Instructions on how to approve the quote and place your order

All custom built fixtures are pre-paid by credit card or PayPal using our online store. Instructions will be included in the quote on how to pay for your fixture. No work will be undertaken until we receive your payment.

Step 4

Once you have approved and paid for your order we will then work closely with you to generate the CAD drawing that will be used to operate a computer controlled milling machine that actually creates the Assembly Fixture. We will also create a customized printable track template so you can place the drawing on your layout to confirm the design and to use for building and placing your trackwork.

Step 5

Only after you have reviewed and approved the track template drawing, do we actually start the construction of your assembly fixture. Once built, the fixture will be packaged and shipped to you. Typical turn around time after you have approved the track template drawing is 2-3 weeks, but it can be longer.
