    Magnificent

Just wanted to say thanks. I finally pulled everything out of the box and built my first turnout this past weekend... magnificent is the best way I can sum it up in one word. I was so displeased with the quality, cost and availability of commercial turnouts out there that I decided to give your product a try.

To say that I was intimidated with the thought of building any trackwork would be an understatement. Your system is as I said before magnificent!!! Building turnouts couldn't be any easier, not to mention the results are out of this world. I actually sat and ran a set of trucks and then a full size car through it for almost half an hour in amazement. If I may be so bold though as to recommend that you either include the StockAid tool or strongly recommend it when someone purchases one of your complete building kits. Either way and once again thanks!!!

If you want it done right, do it yourself.

Very true statement, and with the help of your assembly jigs never have I encountered a more simple assembly of a very complex item. Doing it myself has resulted in a switch that no company equals in quality and operation. Kudos to you and your staff. Next order coming shortly...

Your product is everything I could have hoped for.

Hello Fast Tracks Craftsmen,

Just received my very first product from your company, an HO #6 turnout jig. It is solid as a rock, very precise, and beautifully made! Your Fast Tracks website is extremely helpful and complete in both the building techniques shown in the very well made videos available for free online and your full range of custom track building tools and supplies.

From the Fast Tracks website I knew in advance just exactly what I would need to start building quality HO turnouts, but I cautiously waited to see a jig for myself before proceeding. Your product is everything I could have hoped for and I recommend that other modelers simply overcome their initial caution and buy what they need on their very first order to start building quality track turnouts right away!

You have a customer for life.

Just wanted to say thank you for such a great product!! I recently switched to N scale from HO, everyone I model with thought I was nuts (I get frustrated fairly easy and don't have the smallest fingers). But after using your product I'm able to turn out flawless #6 turnouts in about 45 minutes, in N scale Amazing! The only problem I have now is that I'm unsatisfied with the way everyone's track looks next to my Fast Tracks turnouts so I've decided to hand lay my three level layout with all Fast Tracks!

You have a customer for life, and can't wait to order my slip switch jig. A friend of mine is getting ready to start his HO layout and after seeing my turnouts is sold on your product. I've found Fast Tracks so enjoyable to use that I offered to build all of his turnouts for him after he receives his!

Thank you very much!!!

    These templates are amazing!

I just received my templates the other day, reviewed the step-by-step videos and have already turned out two very professional looking turnouts. It is by far the easiest way to build turnouts! I was afraid of trying to build my own before coming across this web site, and after using one of the fixtures I will never go back to buying commercial turnouts. It is easy, they look and operate fantastic, and I no longer have derailment problems at the most troublesome area of my layout.

Thank You Fast Tracks!

Great product and even better step by step instructions!!!

I am just jumping back into the hobby after a 20 year break. Never dreamed of making my own turnouts but HOn3 is pretty limited. I have no soldering experience or hand laying experience but after 2 hours I had a decent looking #6 turnout. Was second guessing code 55 but it was much easier than I thought.

    These jigs are terrific.

For those who are serious about model railroading, these jigs are terrific. After purchasing my No.6 jig I made six turnouts in no time and had no problems with rolling stock going through the turnouts after completing each turnout. Running large steam locomotives I have not had one derailment nor electrical problems through the turnouts. Working methodically I am now making a turnout in about 45 minutes.

The jig has cut down my cost factor in the number of turnouts I need and as my club needs to replace about 60 No.6 Shinohara turnouts this jig is going to make the replacements with ease.

Thank you Fast Tracks for taking the pain out of making turnouts.

    Absolutely Brilliant!

Hi, I received your no.6 point kit for N gauge last week, and have just completed my first point. Absolutely brilliant! The QuickSticks sleepers are a little closely spaced for British N gauge, but once laid and ballasted I don't think anyone will notice. I also changed the tiebar to a wider one to accommodate the operating pin of my chosen point motor, and I used solder paste as I find it easier to handle and apply with it's syringe-type applicator.

The reason for this is simple. Eight years ago I suffered a severs stroke which has left me right-side disabled, so I can only really use my left hand. Each point may take me a little more time to make than someone using both hands, but the design of the kits, and a little ingenuity as well, make handmade track simple and easy to make. And if I can do it, anyone can!

    Thanks You Fast Tracks

I would have never thought of hand laying my track for my N scale layout. I got the N scale 3 way #6 switch. This is the first 3 way I was able to find from any company. I am very pleased with this switch kit. I watched the DVD that came with the kit first. I followed the instructions on building my switch. I am proud of the quality of the form and how this turnout completed. I will recommend this product to everyone.

This is the first time I have ever hand laid track. I now feel more involved with my N scale layout and feel my layout is part of me rather than just a train layout. THANK YOU FAST TRACKS for making a great selection for N scale. I will most definitely come back to order my hard to find switches for my layout in the future.

Thanks to you, big, big thanks!

The #6 HO turnout fixture pack and correct-sized Pointform Tool and other tools arrived at my home earlier today. I watched the included DVD with all the excellent videos about using the tools and how to make a turnout right away. Later this afternoon I built my first two turnouts. The first took me about 2 hours - I kept referring back to the DVD instructions to ensure I did it right. I was surprised and very satisfied with the result. The second turnout I made took about an hour and I was more pleased than I was with the first. My first two tries look better than anything else I have.

You guys appear to have thought of everything. Off the cuff I can't think of a single issue I came up against while building my first two turnouts that your written or video instructions didn't clear up immediately. I've seen a lot of tech writing and instructional videos in my day, and frankly most of those written for an English-speaking audience were not written in comprehensible English. Yours, on the other hand, are superb. Thank you especially for that.

There's not much more frustrating than spending money on a product and finding the instructions incomprehensible. After finishing my two turnouts I started thinking about the number of turnouts I have in hand from other manufacturers, which I've gathered to prepare building the layout of my dreams. Some are real oldies! I pulled out samples of each kind by each manufacturer and did some comparing. I came to the realization very quickly that I can use the tools and techniques from Fast Tracks to improve, overhaul and/or completely upgrade all the junky turnouts I've gathered from elsewhere. I expect the end result will be saving some cash through a serious upgrading of the old stuff, although make no mistake: as much as possible of my new layout will be Fast Tracks product. I know a good thing when I see it!

When I talk about using Fast Tracks materials to upgrade other manufacturers' stuff here are some specifics: one other manufacturer of "hand-laid" turnouts (which are actually mostly pre-fab points to which one adds their own lengths of track) will get all new frog points and closure rails because Fast Tracks lets me make frog points especially that are far superior to what they supply. I can say that having compared the two sets of frog points I made today - even with such little experience the ones I made are far superior to those supplied in the other product line's kit. Another manufacturer's product line will get complete replacement of all critical internal rail joints as well.

So in addition to saving money by purchasing your turnout kit to make my first handmade turnouts I can now upgrade a lot of older junk to good quality, good enough to be used in out of the way places like staging and fiddle yards, while all scenery-visible layouts will be new Fast Tracks items.

I'm planning additional purchases for #8 turnout, dual-gauge turnout and straight track sections, wyes and crossovers, so I'll be back regularly. I already promised my godson all new trackwork for his new HO layout - that's how much I am enjoying using my new Fast Tracks stuff.

Thanks to you, big, big thanks! I never thought I'd have the confidence or manage to master the skills to make my own turnouts. As you might tell from the above, I really feel like I'm on a roll now.

    Frog Juicer Is The Answer

My HOn3 layout has been on DCC for almost 20 years, and I have had some problems with the micro-switches on turnouts getting out of whack, causing shorts that are very hard to find. The Frog Juicer is the answer. This thing works perfectly. My only gripe -- where was it 20 years ago!

FYI, American Science and Surplus (sciplus.com) has a neat plastic box, #93702, which is perfect for enclosing the Juicer, if you mount it on the layout fascia, as I did.

Thanks for a great product.

    World Class Product

Testimonials like this from me are pretty rare. Most companies do a pretty decent job, and usually go unnoticed (thankfully) but when a company and specifically Ron Warris goes above and well beyond the call of duty with his service. When I received the 36" rail for my upcoming huge number of turnouts, I was pleasantly surprised to see it wrapped against a piece of wood to ensure the rail did not get damaged in shipping! I'm sure I'll find some use for the stick of lumber somewhere in the layout!

To all the inquiries and product, pricing and a great easy to use website, I have to hand it to Tim and Ron. They've developed a world-class product, right here in Canada!

I'm going to be back for a lot more stuff guys, keep up the great work!

Fast Tracks Is A WoooooooW Company

I modeled my first N scale 14' x 14' NMRA compliant layout based on southern western pacific locations (a sort of streamliners paradise). It is not a big layout, but I wanted it to be constructed to the highest standards I could technically and financially afford. Hand laying code 40 track was not the simplest choice possible for a beginner. After building the first series of 5 turnouts (I have 34 turnouts to build), I know now that it was the best and funnest choice, and probably the only choice for a really sharp looking layout.

As I can't see the products in real life, I was really looking for suppliers with products and philosophy compliant with the vision I have for my layout. I have spent a couple of months to find the finest suppliers. The track choice is crucial (I have about 215 feet of track to build). For these reasons and due to my approach, I have chosen Fast Tracks for all my track. I could have found simpler or cheaper, but I think that looks and reliability are worth a certain price.

One week after receiving my first order and laying my first pieces of trackwork, it appears to me that Fast Tracks is a WoooooooW company, with WoooooooW products, and operated by WoooooooW people in harmony with their baseline. I'm not a fan, but I could become one of them. ;) Continue your good job...

    Came Out Perfect

I made my first Fast Tracks crossing. Never made anything for track before. It came out just perfect. I'm now looking to replace all my turnouts with Fast Tracks. I can see now that if you want trouble free running on the rails, this is the way to go.

    Bent Over Backwards

To all model railroaders. The guys at Fast Tracks have bent over backwards in their efforts to help me get satisfaction. Postal problems then wrong information given to me from the wrong person all conspired to make me tear my hair out. Ron was outstanding with his help in solving my problems. No effort or expense was spared in my case. Very well done to the guys at Fast Tracks.

    Handlaying N Scale

Just three short years ago if someone had of said to me hand laying you own turnouts I would have laughed at them with a "Yeah Right!!!"

I have now found myself looking at code 55 and getting away from code 80 and because N scale ME turnouts are hard to near impossible to get in these parts........Well here I am hand laying My turnouts with Fast Tracks jig. I love it!!!! They look good and hopefully work great too!!!:-)

I have 16 of them built and about 6 more are need then I start laying out my yard on my home layout. NOW I even am seriously looking at hand laying the rest of the track work as well. I guess maybe I have now officially gone mad!!!!!!

Thanks Fast Tracks!!!! Thanks a lot

    Thanks!

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know my order arrived promptly and well packaged. I am extremely satisfied with your service and products. Fast Tracks is truly a one-stop paradise for those who choose to hand lay their track. Tim, your videos and tutorials are an excellent source of information and motivation. I have never attempted any form of hand laid track up till now, but I am looking forward to many hours of fun and satisfaction. I know I will encounter some initial frustration but I know your website will always be there to provide all the impetus to persevere.

Thanks again, and best regards,

    Recent Order

Well what fast shipping. And very well packaged too! I just ordered this the other day! I can't wait to try the frog and point filer and the soldering jig out. I've handlaid for many years now and this just gives me an excuse to do even more. The free CD on templates and stuff that you included in the mailing was very thoughtful as well.

I'll let you know of my progress from time to time and even include some photos. Thanks again.

    Bullfrog ROCKS!

I just assembled (yes, I'm cheap - and it took all of 10 minutes to build) my first Bullfrog - simple, strong and simply the best manual turnout control I have seen. I want to commend you for a design that offers an affordable alternative to all turnout motors (manual or otherwise). With the long throw (I have almost 2 1/2" from the bottom of the bench work to the to top of the roadbed) and easy mounting - heaven! Mated with my Fast Tracks #4 turnouts - a dream come true - the beauty of your turnout design plus a strong, reliable motor.

Cheers to you and this design - a bargain at twice the price! Congrats.

    To All at Fast Tracks

I just wanted to drop you an email and let you know how impressed I am with my entire Fast Tracks experience. Your website is easy to navigate, the online documentation is superb and your products are even better. I received my Fast Tracks turnout template yesterday and within a few hours I had made a turnout. After watching the online videos I felt like it was second nature despite never having completed one myself. If only everything was this smooth and easy!

I work with several model railroaders and all were equally impressed by the fixture and today with the result of my first attempt. Hoping that pays dividends for your team in the future! Again, very impressive workmanship and overall experience. Thanks for delivering a great product!

I do not normally write things like this but the service I received was first rate. I had email updates to let me know the status of my order and my parcel was shipped within 24 hours. I received the well-wrapped parcel about a week later which is fantastic. I am now keen to get started hand laying the next section of track. I will definitely buy from these guys again.

    Rail Bender, Well Worth Price

Tim, Ron, and Terry, I just used the Rail Bender for the 1st time to make a "Curved" Dual Gauge #6 code 70 and also two HOn3 #6 Code 70 "Curved" turnouts. I have to say that when I set the Rail Bender Gauge, it was pretty darn accurate each time. If there was a slight difference, I contend that the difference was due to the rail tolerances.

The Rail Bender actually made the curved turnouts fun to do. The Rail Bender should be on everyone's work table, it's worth every cent. Thanks and have a great day, all.

    Terrific

Received my order. Got everything I asked plus I particularly like the packaging. First class. And love the track side advertising. They say get this or that because its cheaper, but there's no substitute for quality, and looking at what I received, the quality is obvious. Thank you.

    Compliments

I received the package yesterday, and it arrived unscathed. Inside the box was a lot of well packed... high quality! I have worked in a CNC machine shop, and also owned a Universal Laser machine, and I appreciate the design effort and work that have gone into your products. Your website, although it too is one of the best I've ever used, doesn't do justice to the actual product. Thank you for such an amazing contribution to the hobby.

    Sn3 #6 Turnouts

I have now built and installed about 12 S/Sn3 dual gauge turnouts, and Sn3 #6 turnouts. I still have about 10 to go. The actual construction of the turnout takes some time, but the installation is a breeze. Each and everyone is perfectly in gauge and, as a result, operate flawlessly.

    Works Like Magic

The assembly jig and filing jig both work like magic. I'm very impressed with the entire kit and think it's the best value for money model railroad tool(s) I've bought in my 26 years of modeling -and you can quote me on that!!

    Great Product

I've found your jig easy to use and the resulting turnout is superior to any of the commercial products I have used. The instructions are clear and very helpful. Our club will probably incorporate them into the new layout we're building. Thanks for putting out a great product.

    A Pleasure To Use

I bought one of your turnout jigs and frog point grinding jig. I must say what a pleasure it is to get more, actually far more, than I had anticipated. The turnout jig not only works beautifully but is visually pleasing enough to frame and hang on the wall. My compliments on a well thought out and executed product. I can only say I wish I had thought of that.

Just wanted to let you know this turnout jig is FANTASTIC to say the least. Perfect turnout every time, I never had train roll so smooth through a switch.     Very Satisfied Customer

I received my jig in the mail yesterday. Once I saw it I wanted to dive right in... but I held back and read the instructions... which were VERY well done and thought out. Anyway long story short, I built my first turnout tonight, and it came out GREAT and it operates flawlessly. Your jig really makes it idiot proof.

You've made a great product and you can be sure I'm going to recommend it to everyone. Thank you, A VERY satisfied customer in California.

    No Time To Build

I have started using my fixture and it is fantastic, I have built 8 turnouts so far. Most of these I built at our club train show over the last weekend where I spent a day and a half on the "Construction Stand" I could have built many more turnout except I spent so much time talking to people about the fixture.
