Building Curved or Straight Turnouts Using Fast Tracks TwistTies

When used with other Fast tracks tools, TwistTies can make building curved turnouts quick and easy!

Here is how . . .

Extremely flexible, TwistTies can be used to create any radius of turnout and still maintain the turnout size!

They can also be used to create straight turnouts.

Rail guidelines are engraved onto the ties to make it easy to position the rails.

Pre-drilled spike holes make it easy to spike the rails to the ties and ensure accurate gauging and turnout geometry.

To build a curved turnout you start by bending and gluing down the TwistTies to your roadbed following your track centreline.

Next, you add the stock rails. To create a smooth radius you can use our Rail Roller.

Spike the frog onto the TwistTies using the engraved rail guidelines and spike holes to position the frog into place.

Add the remaining stock and guard rails.
