Each assembly fixture can be used to build right or left Turnouts.

To finish off your trackwork, add our matching QuickSticks to your order. These laser cut, wood ties will make finishing turnouts a snap, simply glue the full set of pre-cut ties to the turnout and it's complete! In addition to code 100 rail, you will also need to purchase matching 0.0625" (1.6mm), (7 scale inches) thick, CopperHead PC board turnout ties manufactured by Fast Tracks.

I found all the tools I bought from Fasttracks to be quality tools. I did have a few issues, though, that are worth noting. First, I had a hard time getting the MicroEngineering rail to seat properly in the fixture's grooves at first. I had to tap in the rails with a heavy object. Then, I had a hard time getting the rails out. But by the time I built my fourth turnout, this loosened up and I am now able to insert and remove rail much more easily. Second, the grooves for the guard rails are just a tad too close such that the rail base sits on top of the stock rail slightly, keeping the guard rails at an angle and so they do not lay flat in the fixture. For my fourth build, I removed the turnout from the fixture and soldered the guardrails outside of it (freehand). I think that for my fifth turnout, I will file the base of the stock rail slightly to allow the guardrails to seat flat in the fixture's groove. Third, I felt that the Fasttracks solder (.02" diameter) was too thin and easily bent away from the target. I had some .032" diameter solder that was a little easier to work with. Lastly, I was disappointed that the predrilled spike holes on the quicksticks were only at a few strategic locations instead of on every tie.
