Fast Tracks invests in compassionate care
10% of every sale made in September 2016 will be donated to the Psychosocial Oncology Clinic at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

A plea from the founder of Fast Tracks.
"Rising waters raise all ships"
Friends,
I've known Lionel Strang personally for many years, initially as an author for Model Railroader, then as a fellow model railroader and as of late a friend. Two years ago, almost to the day, Lionel was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. He was told two years ago he would not be around for another year. Apparently the people telling him this did not know Lionel very well...
Over the last two years, Lionel has invited us into his personal life through his Facebook feed. Those of us who have been following him online have found that this struggle has not slowed him down one bit. Since his diagnosis, his posts have remained both entertaining and uplifting, and at the same time very moving. His short video vignettes of his day to day life shed light into what it is like to live knowing that your time might be short.
Lionel was told he wouldn't live another year, so he decided to live for two. So far. Lionel's attitude and zest for life is boundless, and we have no doubt that he will be around for several more years.
One thing that Lionel has credited for his continued success in dealing with all this is the Psychosocial Oncology Clinic at the Princess Margaret Hospital. Toronto's Princess Margaret Hospital is one of the world's top cancer research hospitals, and Lionel has been receiving the best care possible anywhere in the world.
In August Lionel started up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the Psychosocial Oncology Clinic, with a goal of raising $5000. As Lionel has often said, "cancer fries your brain" and patients benefit a great deal from the support they receive. Seeing this, I thought there could be a good opportunity for Fast Tracks to help out. I decided to commit a portion of each sale for the entire month of September to this cause. With your help I'm confident we can help Lionel exceed his goal!
I am also going to issue a challenge to all other manufacturers in our little hobby to do the same. Rising waters raise all ships. Every little bit helps everyone. So challenge your customers to help you raise money for cancer research. You don't need to support this specific fund, pick one that is important to you and do your best to give back!
Lionel, we admire your courage, and thank you for your friendship. Here's to One More Year!
