Mt. Albert Scale Lumber produces the highest quality stripwood available. Not all the wood we produce is suitable for taking stain due to irregularities in the wood grain. Part of our quality control process is to separate out that material, which means up to 50% of what we cut is not up to our high standards. Traditionally, this wood was simply discarded. While perhaps not suitable for staining, this stripwood is ideally suitable for painting, and we are now making it available at a discount!
If the stripwood in your project will not be stained, this Paint Grade stripwood is a great way to save 20%!
Available only in bulk, with a low minimum order quantity (20pcs of any size).
Mt. Albert Paint Grade scale stripwood is produced from the highest quality basswood available. Cut to consistent dimensions, with a tolerance of +/- .003" (less than the thickness of a sheet of paper) this material is ideally suited for all types of scratch building projects.
Our method of cutting basswood produces very smooth, clean and fuzz-free wood strips that are ready to use.
