The extremely acute diamond shape of this specialized file (sometimes called a 'Feather Edge' or 'Screw Cut' file) is ideal for cleaning up the frog and switch points after soldering and should be part of all hand layers tool kit. The sharp edge of the file allows it to easily fit into the flangeway of even the smallest scale track. 

This file is 5-1/2" long x 3/4" wide x 1/8" thick at the middle.

Bought a full set of tools with my original FastTracks order, or so I thought. With latest supplies order I purchased a Points Shaping File. Tool allows me to clean up my less than perfect work in a way that none of my other files could touch. This is a must have tool for switch building.

This is a fantastic file I use it to cut gaps in the pc ties it leaves a fine gap that is not as noticeable.
