This specialized file's extremely acute diamond shape (sometimes called a 'Feather Edge' or 'Screw Cut' file) is ideal for cleaning up the frog and switch points after soldering and should be part of all hand layers tool kits. The sharp edge of the file allows it to easily fit into the flangeway of even the smallest scale track.
This file is 5-1/2" long x 3/4" wide x 1/8" thick at the middle.

Bought a full set of tools with my original FastTracks order, or so I thought. With latest supplies order I purchased a Points Shaping File. Tool allows me to clean up my less than perfect work in a way that none of my other files could touch. This is a must have tool for switch building.
