I have handlaid track but never considered handbuilding a turnout. Built my first Fast Tracks #6 turnout this weekend while watching football. Couldn't believe that I started and finished my first turnout in less time than I spent watching the game.

Having made my own switches before with less than satisfactory performance no matter how much fiddling i did; i was aware of your site & company and finally ordered the point/frog filing tool for my O 2 rail module layout.
When I first found fast tracks I thought that building your own turnouts by hand was a complex task. But as i watched the tutorial videos, I decided to buy a #5 N-Scale turnout fixture kit... and all I can say is, WHY DIDN'T I DO THIS SOONER.
