This is the solder that we recommend for building trackwork in the Fast Tracks assembly fixture Builders' Guides and videos. This is a rosin core, 60/40 (60% tin, 40% lead), 0.020" diameter solder. It is the small diameter of the solder that makes it ideal for soldering trackwork.

This solder is sold in 15' lengths. Enough to construct several dozen turnouts.

Nice size wire if you are soldering small gauge wire ,especially if your doing any decoder work if soldering is required.

This is a good size of solder for the turnouts for my Z scale layout. No big blobs of solder on the ties! On a segue, I also used this when making up my 25 pin sub-D connectors for my frog juicer and DCC turnout decoder boards. Smaller diameter easily fits into solder connections.
