Part of the Fast Tracks Infinite™ Track System, this O scale, Micro Engineering code 100, mainline curved track Assembly Fixture can be used to construct 60"R (1524mm) and 72"R (1828.8mm) curved trackwork (including full loops) quickly and easily. Build an infinite amount of track with a single assembly fixture!
Trackwork built using Fast Tracks fixtures is NMRA compliant and will easily out-perform any store bought track! No special skills are needed and results are guaranteed.
Fast Tracks assembly fixtures will help you build high quality hand laid track that:
- Is Highly Accurate - Build curved mainline trackwork that stays in perfect gauge - permanently
- Performs Perfectly - Completely eliminates track related derailments
- Is Easy To Build - No special skills needed
- Looks Great! - Get results that rival even the most experienced modelers
- Lets You Work in Comfort - Build trackwork at your workbench
- Is NMRA Compliant - Will work with any NMRA compliant equipment
Due to the thickness needed for O scale ties, we are unable to produce PC board ties that are the same thickness as individual wood ties (we are unable to cut PC board material this thick effectively). Our O scale CopperHead PC board crossties are 0.0625" thick, which is about half the thickness of a full size crosstie. However this won't cause an issue as once the completed trackwork is ballasted the difference in height is hidden by the ballast. Currently we do not have O scale laser cut QuickSticks available, but will be adding these soon!
In addition to code 100 rail, you will also need to purchase matching 0.0625" (1.6mm), (7 scale inches) thick, pre-gapped, CopperHead PC board ties manufactured by Fast Tracks for curved and straight trackwork. Our PC Board crossties are pre-gapped for DC and DCC compatibility. We also offer traditional single piece wood cross ties to complete your curved track. All of these additional items can be easily added to your order by selecting them from the options list on the upper right hand side of this page
Building curved trackwork using Fast Tracks tools and supplies is not very different than building straight trackwork and does not require any special skills. The only real difference is that the rail needs to be curved. To ensure that the rail is properly pre-bent into shape, we highly recommend that you consider including a Fast Tracks Rail Roller with your order. The Rail Roller tool will not only make it easy to create smooth consistent curves, but will also ensure that the rail is properly pre-bent so that it will retain its shape over time.
Failure to properly pre-bend the rail for curved trackwork will result in solder joint failure over time!
